MARINE AND CARGO TECHNICIAN / ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

AG London is seeking a Marine & Cargo Technician / Account Executive to provide high-quality technical and premium processing support to the Marine and Cargo Team, providing administrative and client servicing support for marine insurance placements. The role involves managing the full insurance lifecycle, from new business and renewals through to premium processing, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, brokers and underwriters.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support brokers in the placement and servicing of risks within the Division.
- Prepare, process and issue insurance documentation including MRC’s & Endorsements.
- Ensure documentation is compliant with FCA, company, and market requirements.
- Updating broker systems and invoicing premiums in line with agreed policy terms and market procedures.
- Assisting Clients with coverage/wording questions and requirements.
- Liaise with Clients, Insurers and Finance Teams, to resolve premium and accounting queries.
- Support the production of processing of bordereaux where applicable.
- Maintain accurate records of placements, premiums, and bordereaux.
- Support compliance requirements under the AR framework and internal standards.
- Assist with reporting and data analysis to support management and board updates.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Prior experience as a Cargo or Marine Technician / Account Executive in the London Insurance market.
- Understanding of Cargo and Stock Throughput wordings (and/or wider marine classes), or strong willingness to develop technical expertise.
- Familiarity with London Market process and documentation.
- Experience using Broking Systems (such as Whitespace, IMR, XIS bureau)
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
