Head of Operations & Compliance

AG London is seeking a hands-on operational leader to build, own, and run our operations function. This is not a delegating role—you will be in the engine room of the business, managing day-to-day operations while setting the strategic foundation for scalable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the operations function, ensuring smooth daily execution across systems, processes, and reporting.
- Work closely with the business handling and placement teams to build operational processes that enable brokers and technicians to succeed.
- Oversee compliance, including regulatory requirements under the Appointed Representative (AR) framework, audits, and internal policies.
- Manage key third-party relationships, ensuring service quality and accountability with outsourced providers.
- Take ownership of systems functionality and technology solutions, driving optimisation and enhancements.
- Prepare financial and operational reports for board-level updates.
- Maintain risk registers, monitor KPIs, and ensure strong governance.
- Build the operational foundation for growth, including future hiring as the business scales.

- Proven experience leading operations in a regulated insurance environment.
- Hands-on mindset—comfortable doing the work as well as leading it.
- Strong compliance knowledge (including AR model).
- Vendor management experience and financial literacy.
